Åre är Nordeuropas största skidort och ett säkert val för en skidsemester i Sverige med förstklassig skidåkning både på och utanför pisterna. Skidorten har arrangerat flera alpina världsmästerskap, anordnar varje år världscupen för damer och har goda skidmöjligheter för både nybörjare och erfarna skidåkare.
